Kegagalan yang sering ditemui:
- Pulpa mengalami inflamasi secara kronis → tidak ada efek penyembuhan pada pulpa yang terinflamasi dan dalam situasi ini pulpektomi penuh lebih diindikasikan
- Terdapat jendalan darah pada area pulpal → akan mengganggu proses penyembuhan
- Kegagalan restorasi → akan menjebak bakteri yang masuk
